Can you please provide our readers with a brief background of the company?

Sybernautix Solutions Ltd was incorporated in the UK in 2002 with a vision to provide a higher level of Software solutions, IT consulting services and Networking services.

Sybernautix began exploring the new space of Biometric Security, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and Automatic Container Code Recognition (ACCR) software development technology in early 2006. Since then the company has chalked out plans to focus in the areas of biometric & OCR value chain and subsequently a development centre in India was setup to develop the technology applications and solutions.

Sybernautix has invested more than 100 man-years in market research and business development, technology development and product development. A talented management and technical team was established that embarked on creating a solution for secured biometric Identity assurance and transactions.

Sybernautix has developed an excellent customer base and a sales & marketing network to commercialize security solutions for the UK, USA, UAE and India.

Would you say that this past year has been a good one for Sybernautix and if so, why?

SY

It has been a good year on the technical front. We have demonstrated our capabilities with facial recognition solutions by integrating this application with passport readers and finger print readers into a multi biometric application. This solution was showcased at Airport Expo 2008, New Delhi, India. This application has been very well received.

Can you please describe what makes your product - SyberID special?

SY

"SyberID" is a Multi-Biometric Enrolment and Identification Solution. It supports the efficient capture of demographic and biometric data (Fingerprint, Facial and Signature) with built-in quality controls and ensures the information captured provides accurate, effective and fast results. Sybernautix multi biometric system, SyberID, connects multiple identity types and credentials – such as biometrics (finger and face), smart cards, RFIDs, passports and ID cards - with legacy and custom applications, enabling individuals to assert their identity to multiple systems and applications.

Accurate and reliable, the SyberID solution verifies the identity of individuals and the authenticity of documents through biometric matching and document analysis. Sybernautix provides stationary, mobile, and self-service solutions to verify the authenticity of passengers and employees.

Sybernautix supports customers in building enterprise solutions requiring the highest level of security, performance, scalability, reliability and privacy. Sybernautix multi biometric system, SyberID, integrates seamlessly with all platforms and applications, manages the identity life-cycle of small and large populations and delivers a clear return-on-investment.

What vertical markets are you concentrating on and where are you seeing the greatest growth?

SY

Security solutions for the enterprise world are in very high demand, with requirements for multilayer level solutions. We are focussing on this demand as one of the priority areas of growth. Our main focus for the future is going to be on enterprise security solutions, like SyberID - Multi-biometric identification system and Facial Recognition, which has yet to reach its potential targets. Apart from this, we are focusing on providing solutions integrating Biometric Technology with Automatic Number Plate Recognition processes. This is targeted for Government & Law Enforcement Agencies, Transportation & Aviation Security, Physical & Logical Access Control, Secure Video Surveillance and Civil Identity Protection.

Are there partnerships or alliances that are proving to be important for the growth of the company?

SY

We have been tying-up alliances with the front runners of technology in the specified domains. We have forged strong associations between our company and the Global leaders in Biometric Technologies and the OCR technologies for application in road and port traffic management. The technology partnerships will give a firm footing, as they are already established and prevent the duplication of the work done by others in the field and will help us in making available products to new verticals and make them more user friendly and convenient.

You just recently expanded your operations globally. Can you elaborate on this activity?

SY

Over the years, we have made excellent progress in the UK and found it necessary to expand into new regions, capitalizing on our technology. Sybernautix has opened strategic sales offices in USA & UAE. This will facilitate our growth and enable us to be more responsive to the needs of our customers.

What new products does Sybernautix have planned for 2008?

SY

We have lined up several new products for 2008. The products are going to be focusing on providing a multilayer security solution integrating the biometric identification, document management, signature identification and number plate recognition technologies.
