| Nevada City to Install Biometric Identification System
The city of Henderson, Nevada, the fastest growing city in the U.S., is installing a Printrak integrated Digital Justice Solution system to enable the city to identify criminal suspects locally and accurately, saving time and resources.
Printrak, a Motorola company, has been awarded a contract valued at $3.5 million. The solution features Printrak's computer aided dispatch, automated fingerprint/palmprint identification, livescan and mugshot technologies, records management, and corrections management. Henderson utilize the Omnitrak 8.0 AFIS/Palm Identification technology from Printrak.
The system will enable the city to identify criminal suspects locally and accurately, saving time and resources. Fingerprint, palmprint, and mugshot images will be captured and submitted to the Omnitrak system using the Printrak LiveScan Station 3000N. The solution will also feature the Premier CAD Computer Aided Dispatch System, Infotrak Law Records Management System, Offendertrak Corrections Management System, and Imagetrak Intelligent Image Management System. "The Printrak Digital Justice Solution will save our organization valuable time and resources," said Captain Jutta Chambers of the Henderson Police Department. "Our previous technology was not flexible to our needs. Printrak's technology has proven to be superior in the industry. We are confident that the Printrak solution is the answer to our problems."
