Wave Systems Demonstrates Advanced Security and Business Productivity Solutions at the Inside ID Conference

Dec-03-03

WASHINGTON & LEE, Mass. Wave Systems Corp. (Nasdaq:WAVX - www.wave.com), a leader in delivering trusted computing applications and services, will demonstrate a range of Trusted Computing security and business productivity solutions at the Inside ID Conference, December 8-10, at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center.
At the Maximus booth, No. 305, Wave Systems will demonstrate, as a motherboard-based solution, the EMBASSY(R) Trust Suite Professional Edition - the industry's premier secure business productivity software. The EMBASSY Trust Suite works with any Trusted Computing Group (TCG)-compliant Trusted Platform Module to deliver a secure computing platform, complete with an out-of the-box suite of secure and trusted services, available to personal computer manufacturers and business users.

Wave's EMBASSY Trust Suite Professional Edition, integrated into the Microsoft Office(R) environment, is engineered to deliver a variety of PC-related business productivity tasks in an intuitive, easy-to-understand format. Purchase information for the EMBASSY Trust Suite Professional Edition is available at http://www.wave.com/products/ets_pro.html.

Wave will also demonstrate EMBASSY secure smart card reader solutions applicable to health care, government, military and Homeland Security applications. When an EMBASSY hardware system secures a device such as a smart card reader, critical authentication information such as biometric data and PIN numbers are protected from theft. This system also has potential uses in advanced financial services applications, such as secure payment and cashless electronic purse transactions.

In this demonstration, Wave is showcasing an EMBASSY smart card reader application for the Puerto Rico Health Card used in an integrated Puerto Rico Health Management Information System pilot program operated by the Puerto Rico Health Insurance Administration. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)-compliant solution features full support for biometrics, as well as a suite of smart card enabled applications, including health information kiosks and Hospital Information System patient authentication.
