Security Biometrics, Inc. (OTCBB: SBTI), a leader in biometric signature authentication solutions powered by Penflow(TM) today announced the appointment of Jeff Maynard as CEO and President of its eMedRx(TM) US and Canadian subsidiaries. Mr. Maynard will also serve on the boards of eMedRx(TM).

Mr. Maynard has spent his career in healthcare in Canada and the US. Mr. Maynard has had extensive experience both domestically and internationally with "Big Pharma". Mr. Maynard has served as President and CEO of National Health Benefits, a company that markets non-insurance health benefits to clients in the US using a national network of 300,000 health providers. He also serves on the Advisory Board of INFO MD, a company with "Best of Breed" software featuring video drug detailing and information delivery to physicians. Mr. Maynard was the main principal and President behind JCLADS and Associates, a health care consulting firm. Over the past few years he was involved in the launch of several companies, venture capital, partnerships and consulting including developing strategic business plans, negotiating multi-million dollar contracts and implementing all phases of business operations. He has developed partnerships with industry leaders as well as creating broker/distributor networks.

Previous to these roles, Mr. Maynard was Vice President Business Development and equity partner for Patient Centrix-a software development and health care consulting firm. In his role he was responsible for sales and marketing to pharmaceutical and managed care companies in the US. Notable clients included UnitedHealthcare, Foundation Health, Scott and White, Aventis, Bristol-Myers Squibb. Patient Centrix was sold to LandaCorp, a publicly traded company.

Prior to Patient Centrix, Mr. Maynard was an officer in a publicly traded behavioral health company specializing in outcome measurement systems and database services. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mental Health Outcomes - a division of Horizon Health Inc., he created and sold a new suite of products to hospitals and pharmaceutical clients including Eli-Lilly and Janssen. In addition, Mr. Maynard was a Consulting Director for a Zeneca pharmaceuticals subsidiary that developed disease management and business solutions for managed care and other pharmaceutical companies. He was given the Excellence Award for new business creation.

As the Director of Managed Care Markets for Aventis, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, Mr. Maynard was responsible for developing marketing, legal and sales strategies for the companies' account managers and their key managed care customers in the US. During his tenure he held increasingly responsible roles in the pharmaceutical industry in 2 countries, as Hospital Sales Manager, Product Manager, Area Sales Manager, Regional Account Manager and Corporate Account Director. His business building and sales skills were recognized by being awarded Sales Manager of the Year, Regional Account Manager of the Year, President's Club, Excellence Award for New Business Creation, and Top Producing Sales Rep in the Country. He received a B.Sc. Honors degree from York University, Toronto in 1978 and has completed executive training from Harvard, Kellogg School of Business and McGill University.
