SmartMetric Develops New Method for Mass Production of Biometric Credit Card-Sized Cards

BAY HARBOUR, FL - SmartMetric, Inc. announces today that it has successfully developed a new and novel procedure for the mass production of advanced biometric electronics inside a plastic card the actual size of a standard credit card.

To date, one of the biggest hurdles in producing a biometric fingerprint scanning credit card, access card and/or an employee identity card in the size of a credit card and made of plastic, has been the plastic encasing or laminating procedure used to encase the electronics without damaging them in the manufacturing process.

While SmartMetric has been able to produce small runs of its world first Biometric Fingerprint Card, it has not been able to produce the card in the volumes that Banks, Government and large Corporations require.

Speaking from the company's Research & Development office in Bay Harbour, Florida, the company's President Mr. Colin Hendrick said today that the company has successfully created a mass production process that can produce a minimum of 1 million cards a month. The company has had to develop a truly novel and innovative process that will make SmartMetric a world leader in the manufacture and mass production of portable fingerprint scanning biometric cards, he said.

The company plans to build its mass manufacturing plant in Florida and plans to market its world first biometric card throughout the world for both Government, Financial and Corporate security applications.
