3rd Annual Biometrics for National Security and Defense
NEW YORK - Sharing Biometric data across services and agencies is a major obstacle for the United States. The DoD and FBI in particular are working hard to ensure that that agencies have enough information to follow and intercept persons of interest, and the collection of information is an obvious and important part of this effort.
With great demand for advanced biometric solutions by the White House, DoD, and DHS initiatives such as HSPD 24 and US-VISIT the private sector is trying to play catch up to government demand. More advancements in multi-modal and ruggedized equipment are still needed to improve data collection and accuracy.
