PersonID from 360 Biometrics meets the needs of small to medium-sized businesses for a cost-effective, accurate, flexible, easy to use fingerprint identification system.
PersonID allows organizations to quickly and easily identify employees, customers and partners, creating a more secure environment and minimizing losses from fraud.
A person is enrolled in the system by capturing the individual's fingerprints, along with any relevant identifying data and a photograph, if desired. The fingerprint is given a quality rating, helping assure that good prints are captured. User-defined, custom fields allow organizations to specify the identifying information they want to capture, letting them adapt the software to their needs. If desired, a photo of the enrolled person can be uploaded.
When a person needs to be identified, the software instantly matches the captured fingerprint against the enrolled fingerprints. The results are displayed with a match score, along with any other identifying information (including the photo if any). The software can search for a person not just be fingerprints, but by any of the identifying data (such as name or gender) that the organization has specified. The clean interface is easy to navigate, reducing the need to refer to the manual or to contact tech support.
PersonID can be integrated into a wide variety of applications, such as authorization, transaction, time-and-attendance, point-of-sale and physical-access-control systems. Fingerprint identification is appropriate for a variety of industries including healthcare, workforce management and public safety.
The University of California San Francisco (UCSF), for example, is using the fingerprint identification system for a health survey in Ghana. "We chose PersonID because it is so easy to use and we could adapt it to meet our precise needs," said Ellen Stein, UCSF academic coordinator.
PersonID was created using Griaule's Fingerprint SDK, which won the prestigious Fingerprint Verification Competition in the Equal Error Rate (EER) category. "SC Magazine" gave the PersonID fingerprint identification software four stars overall (out of five), with five stars for its ease of use and documentation (http://www.scmagazineus.com/360-biometrics-personid/review/3383/).
PersonID works with a variety of fingerprint readers, including Hamster IV (an FBI certified fingerprint reader), Hamster Plus, OptiMouse Plus, Verifier 300, and Venus Multispectral.
The fingerprint identification software also supports popular operating systems, including Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000.PersonID is available now in a stand-alone (small business), client-server (small businesses to enterprise) or Web-based (small businesses to enterprises) versions. Information captured by one version is accessible by the other versions as organizations upgrade. At an average cost of less than a dollar per enrolled person, PersonID is the most cost-effective fingerprint identification software available today.
